Data Controller
The controller of your personal data is the Stefan Kuryłowicz Foundation, with its registered office at 25 Berezyńska St., 03-908 Warsaw (NIP 113 285 54 37, KRS 0000420582).
For matters concerning the protection of personal data, you can contact us at: biuro@fundacja-sk.pl.
What data we collect and why
We collect only the data you provide voluntarily through our forms:
Contact form — name, email address and message content, in order to respond to your enquiry.
Competition registration form — the participant’s data (including name, contact details, education) and the submitted competition materials, for the purpose of running the competition. Submissions are handled by the Foundation’s dedicated submission system.
We do not collect data automatically for marketing purposes and we do not profile users.
Legal basis for processing
We process data on the basis of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR):
Art. 6(1)(a) — your consent (forms),
Art. 6(1)(b) — taking action at your request / participation in the competition,
Art. 6(1)(f) — the controller’s legitimate interest (handling correspondence).
Data recipients
Your data may be entrusted to processors that provide us with technical services:
the Foundation’s dedicated submission system — processes competition entries together with attachments,
Sanity (sanity.io) — the content management system where contact form messages are stored,
Vercel Inc. — hosting of the website,
Meta Platforms — if you use the Facebook social plugin embedded on the site.
Data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area only on the basis of mechanisms compliant with the GDPR (standard contractual clauses).
Retention period
We store contact form messages for the time necessary to handle the enquiry, no longer than 12 months. Competition entries are stored for the duration of a given competition edition and the period resulting from its rules. Data processed on the basis of consent — until the consent is withdrawn.
Your rights
You have the right to:
access your data and receive a copy of it,
rectification, erasure or restriction of processing,
data portability,
object to processing,
withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal),
lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw).
Providing data is voluntary but necessary to handle your enquiry or to take part in the competition.
